His father was a soldier in the army, and Patrick also reports him to be a deacon, civil official, and a town councilor, who was a son of a Romano-British priest. The house was Christian, but they weren't very religious, some historians even say Patrick was agnostic in his childhood.

inexpensive Nativity Scene Your family Will Enjoy production
While bought nativity scenes are beautiful. They are often actually broken. There is something actually magic in the family production a nativity scene of their own, and doing it together.
For the stable
Angel Halloween
Materials you will need:
- Cardboard box or small wooden crate
- Match box
- Brown Paper
- Cardboard
- Gold Glitter
- Toy sheep, cows, goats, camels and a donkey
- Short pieces of straw
inexpensive Nativity Scene Your family Will Enjoy production
Instructions:
- Cover the cardboard box in brown paper. If you are using a crate you don't need to cover it
- Place the straw on the floor of the stable
- Place the animals at the back of the stable
- Cover the matchbox inner with brown paper and place on the straw. This is the manger.
- Fold a piece of material to look like a baby and place it in the manger.
- Cut out a star from the cardboard. Spread glue on both sides and sprinkle gold glitter on the star. Hang it above the stable.
For the characters
Materials you will need:
- 6-7 toilet roll inners
- 6-7 ping pong balls
- Scrap pieces of material
- Gum Paper
- Tissue Paper
- Tin foil
- Pieces of wool
- Glue
Instructions for Mary, Joseph and Shepards
- Cover each toilet roll inner (keep three separate) with scraps of material. You could use sacking cloth for the shepards. Use blue for Mary and select a color for Joseph.
- Glue a ping ball on each inner for their heads.
- Glue headdresses on each one and tie a piece of wool colse to their heads.
- Draw their faces using a fine permanent marker.
Instructions for The Three Wise Men
- Cover the three remaining inners with pieces of lively colored gum paper.
- Using tissue paper, tin foil or wrapping paper generate a different cloak for each Wise man. Glue to one side of the inner.
- Glue their ping pong ball heads on.
- Make headdresses for them too, or fashion crowns out of card or gum paper.
- Draw their faces using a fine permanent marker.
Place the characters in and colse to the stable. You could also make an angel in the same way using white material and silver glitter.

The history of St. Patrick’s Day, which started out as a Holy Day for the Irish Catholics in the 10th or 11th century, goes all the way back to the late 3rd century when a small boy was born in Roman England by the name of Maewyn.
Maewyn and his house lived in a small town where his father was a soldier in the army, and a member of the town government. Some accounts say that Maewyn was an agnostic and some say that his house was Christian, but weren’t very strong in their faith. whether way, it doesn’t indubitably matter because it was what happened later in his life that gained him his notoriety.

When Maewyn was only 16, there was a raid on his village from Ireland, in the Irish Sea. They captured Maewyn and many of the villagers, and took them back to Ireland as servants and slaves for the local Irish.

It was here in captivity that it is reported that Maewyn standard God, and began to talk to him. In fact, legend has it that he often spoke to God in prayer up to one hundred times a day. Six years later, when he was 22, Maewyn escaped from his servitude, and ran to France. There he joined a monastery and under the direction of the Bishop of France, he studied the Bible. It was this Bishop who gave him the name Patrick. Legend has it that while Patrick was here in the monastery, he heard angels calling him back to Ireland.
After spending 12 years in the study of theology and Catholic Laws, he departed and went to Ireland to preach to a heathen nation. He spent 30 years in evangelistic and missionary work across the land. He won many converts over, healed people, and it was even said that he raised some people from the dead. everywhere he went he announced God, and he built many schools and churches to help promote the Catholic religion. Legend has it that angels followed him everywhere, and even told him where and how to go.
After 30 years of missionary work, he died on March 17th. This is the day that has gone down in history as St. Patrick’s Day, for the patron saint of Ireland.
